Hello dear Jane - how are things in your part of the world? Has the land healed where the rains washed them away? I do hope everything is back to normal (though what 'normal' is these days few of us can say?).
This is a poignant story and prescient given how we have felled our world's forests, without sparing a thought for the intricate systems they support and sustain.
I learned a new term a couple of weeks ago - ecocide. Abuse of our natural world is soon to be officially listed as the fifth crime against Peace on Earth. Polly Higgins is the lawyer spearheading this movement with zeal and compassion. She's an inspiration.
I feel like the tree. I feel like the boy. It depends on the day I guess.
