Baffling. Something from a plant? The bottom of a plant? Yet it seems to be floating. Whatever it is, Claire, it's lovely, diaphanous.Warm regards from South Beach
Is it a special photograph of an eclipse of some sort in which the camera has been able to capture the 'rays' of the 'star' behind? It also makes me think of the way we used to make 'pom poms'; you'd wind the wool around and around two disks and then you'd cut around the rim - this could be a photo taken before the string was tied tight around the middle.

Because they've been on my mind and in conversations, I'll guess solar flares. Bits of stardust (in gas form) flung with immeasurable power. xo
a milky eye, light fractured cataracts.Hey Clare I see you are in Muy Bella Barcelona, how cool!!! I am writing to ask a favour from this side of the world when you have a moment. Hi KatI just happened to be at my computer when Google's message notification came in. . . A wedding - lovely, lovely. Here is one of my favourite love poems by Neruda. . . Milosz Sonnet XVII I do not love you as if you were the salt-rose, topazOr arrow of carnations that propagate fire;I love you as certain dark things are loved,Secretly between the shadow and the soulI love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom and carriesHidden within itself the light of those flowers,And thanks to your love, captured in my bodyLives the dense fragrance that rises from the earthI love you without knowing how or when or from where,I love you simply, without problems or pride;I love you in this way because I don’t know any otherWay of lovingBut this, in which there is no I or you,So intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,So intimate that when I fell asleep it is your eyes that close.Pablo Neruda.xo (I will have a look-see for a couple of others and will post them here when they come to light xx)
