Beach poetry

  1. If I were a fish I would eat these, especially the last one - pink and gummy! The top reminds me of a sea horse. I was thinking about the beach today. How I'd love to be close.
    Thanks.

  3. Rach - if I were a fish, the gummy-looking pink one would be my choice of dish, too. A frilly sea horse, yes - I saw her, too. She's wearing a boa. . .
Every time I walk this beach, I think how fortunate I am to be within reach of it (it's about twenty mins away from home). We would welcome you, you know?

  4. Hi Isabel, nature's handwriting. . . happy to see you here. I have been visiting you, too; have been dreadful at comments here, there and everywhere lately. Tiger got my tongue. Soon. . .

  5. Hi PamelaMM - remember these? We were walking the spit together. . . the day we came across the upturned tree, her roots trailing, limbs lolling. xo

  6. Susan dear, if a small smidge of colour sends you outside with your camera, that has to be a good thing, right? Work will be there when you get back. . . What did you see? x

  9. Beautiful photos, Claire. I want that beach here! The third photo, that thingy, whatever it is, is very intriguing. Looks like some kind of little sea flower. :)

  10. I've got some catching up to do, but I can smell what is probably my favorite scent: the ocean.

    Mailed, please check.

  13. Hi Jayne - Rachel calls these beach offerings 'gooeys'. They look like something that could fill a lolly (candy?) jar, sweet and tangy and the perfect stretchy texture. They'd look ornamental and festive decorating a beach-side wedding cake. . . ??

  14. Hi Antares - I have a fair bit of catching up to do, too. There is time enough. . . I suspect many of us would be hard-pressed to come up with scent(s) more intoxicating than the oceans'?
