Today has been

delightfully bizzurd |bizˈherd|adjective    strange or unusual, esp. so as to cause interest, incredulity or amusement; wildly unreasonable, illogical, unpredictable or inappropriate;  arousing amusement; calling forth expressions of the bizarre, ridiculous or absurd
shaped a little like these

and these

What shape has your day been?
(is anybody out there?)

  1. Okey-dokey day. Not much shape at all: this then that, that then this.

A few minutes ago, Walser's German made me smile:
    Schweinerei
    Schweinehaftigkeitsanlagen
    Schweinemassigkeit
    Schweinstallen
    Schweinischen
    schweiniglig

  2. Dear Mim - just the first word 'schweinerei' - rascality - made me smile! Schweinehaftigkeitsanlagen is, according to the German - English dictionary, untranslatable (?!) I might have to invite you over to unravel the mysteries of the other 'Schwein. . .' words, Mim! I do like the shape they make on the page. Before I put my glasses on, I thought you'd left a poem or a song. Perhaps you did?

  3. Spilling into the last day of summer in but a few hours, here. The shape of one ripe plum, plucked from a branch while standing on tip-toes.

  4. T - I love the sound of that; a plum-shaped day with tippy-toe edges sounds soft and welcoming. . . We turn our clocks forward tonight. Don't the seasons roll around fast? With our connections in the N, S, E & W we can stand in any one season at any time, including out here in the ether. xo
