they had a wonderful display of jellyfish at the aquarium here in Boston last year and I found it hard to tear myself away....and they also had these SEA BRANCHES or something like that in another display, live twigs that were fastinating... thanks...
Dear Melissa - I wonder if the wee creatures you saw are 'pipefish?" Certain species do look exactly like sticks.. they're well camouflaged in their underwater environment and you have to know what to look for in order to identify them? (Usually, it's their fast-moving little gills that give them away.)
Like you, I could watch jellyfish for houuuurs. ; )
