Lovely - and just what the Doctor (would have) ordered.

I will need to look into the difference between D. plums and black boy peaches, Maggie & Mary. . . have always considered them two different fruits.

Roast plums make a most luscious feast, Kathleen! I like to drizzle a trail of manuka honey over the mascarpone. Yum, yum, yum. I love them hot or cold. They seem to get more intense the longer you leave them, too (like tamarillos).

Harvey - - - plums and poems are my idea of heaven, too. Aren't we fortunate that both are readily available? And when the one isn't, the other is!

Thanks for your contributions to today's offering, everyone.

L, CClaire Beynonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00005365677016923903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5100640878581081403.post-22008552887414656002010-10-26T13:39:49.495+13:002010-10-26T13:39:49.495+13:00What juice! What juice!Mimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13039776441665375475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5100640878581081403.post-70562748140524782122010-10-26T12:31:32.318+13:002010-10-26T12:31:32.318+13:00Greengage being the least sensual but the sweetest...Greengage being the least sensual but the sweetest of all.maggie@at-the-bay.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5100640878581081403.post-72667977304308534342010-10-26T11:45:26.471+13:002010-10-26T11:45:26.471+13:00What a succulent poem. I love the peaches - wish we could get them in England. They are heavenly roasted with cinnamon and butter and served with mascarpone cheese.
