The passages by Lopez remind me of Thoreau's walking tours through these areas in New England, and off the patience and dedication it takes to truly discover and know a thing. Bet at one with it is the only way to come at it.

Tenderly observed, indeed. Lovely, Claire. Adding Lopez to my list. :)Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06694559900539722616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5100640878581081403.post-76408881375607308662012-06-13T03:53:15.445+12:002012-06-13T03:53:15.445+12:00Thank you for sharing more of Barry Lopez with us,...Thank you for sharing more of Barry Lopez with us, his interior process of being. Concerned that he might lose his own weight, be blown away - I know those feelings and their opposite, that of too much gravity. And "the sound of fish dreaming," how wonderfully inspiring, urging us to remove some of the nails from out battened mental/emotional hatches and take a chance on the wind catching us, lifting us, letting images find a home in a more open mind. Fine stuff. xoMarylinn Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02759437467691163658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5100640878581081403.post-40701427472147339852012-06-12T22:05:40.062+12:002012-06-12T22:05:40.062+12:00What an amazing awareness of nature and the detail...What an amazing awareness of nature and the detail of being in nature...
